I am a 48 year old single parent of a 4 year old boy.I went to court and won full custody , it cost a lot of money I didn’t have and took a year and a half…it wasn’t easy.
We live in the country in a house my grandfather built that is about 105 years old.We renovate and garden,I get on the internet whenever I get the chance.We just got high speed in our area in december of 2007 and I didn’t get it here at the house until march 2008.Took me till now to figure out what I was going to do with it,hope you like it.
On december 31,2007 I was laid-off at work.I was a lumber grader there for 3 years and before that I was at another lumber mill for 12 years.For those of you who don’t know what a lumber grader is, it is the guy who says the lumber passes the grade to build a house with or not.Pretty easy once you get used to it and like most other manufacturing jobs,boring.
I must admit that I love being unemployed and not having to put Jay in daycare all day every day.I do put him in 3 mornings a week because it is good for him to be with the other kids and it is good for him to get out into the world a bit so he can grow as a person.I,on the other hand,am a bit of a hermit,just the way I am.
In this blog I will be writing about a bit of everything…mostly internet,e-bay[I sell there}, renovating,gardening and of course being a single parent.
